Lace Front Closure Bonding Instructions – An Added Step for An Added Chic

There are several Hair Replacement Bonding techniques that are used for hair systems. Aside from a lace front closure, there’s full head and perimeter wig bonding too.

When you have a lace front closure hair piece, it is important to apply it to your head the right way to create a natural appearance. 3rd Dimension Studios can help you apply your chosen hair piece so that it looks like your regular hair, or you can take advantage of our instructions to apply your hair piece yourself.

First, you need to ensure your existing hair and scalp are clean and clear of oils that can make the bonding come loose. The next step is to flatten down any existing hair. Ideally, you can put this hair into corn rows, but another option is to wrap your hair so it stays flat, or to use a wig cap.

Next, you should swab your skin with alcohol around where the bonding for the wig is to go in order to remove any excess residue. Once the area is clean, you should place the wig on your head in the position in which it will sit once it is applied. You can use an easily washable eyebrow pencil to trace the line of the wig accurately.

Remove the wig and apply your chosen scalp protector along the line you have traced. After doing that, get the hair of the wig into a loose ponytail or clip to keep the strands from coming loose.

Your next step is to apply the adhesive around the hairline perimeter using a cotton tip. Note that you should pick a high-quality tip or swab so that traces of cotton are not left along your hairline, which can make the adhesive less effective. Apply in layers according to the instructions for your chosen adhesive.

Finally, when the adhesive is partially dry, you can position the lace front closure wig on your head, starting with your forehead and working along each side of the head separately.
